Another late goal

After such a game I can only be disappointed. As at the last game The opponent managed to score a goal shortly before the end - even though there were hardly any notable chances during the game. Unlike last time, however, FC St. Pauli had not scored a goal beforehand. In general, the boys in brown and white were very harmless in front of goal today. The statisticians counted 0,15 eXpected Goals and thus speak a clear language.

The harmlessness in front of goal was of course also due to the very good positioning of the opponents from SC Freiburg today. They played with concentration today, showed better individual class and were able to spread the game well with their fast wingers. So the winning goal was deserved, even if it was lucky in this form. With the 0:1, Freiburg takes three points from the Millerntor.

Nikola Vasilj was the only player at FC St. Pauli who was fit for the first division. The goalkeeper saved what he had to save. Even if Grifo's penalty was badly taken, you still have to save it. I also really liked James Sands today. However, he obviously injured himself badly with his last move. He must have overstretched his leg and got caught in the grass. At least that's what it looks like in my photos. I hope he gets better soon.

It is to be feared that FC St. Pauli will have to cope with the loss of another important player, James Sands, after Manolis Saliakas and Morgan Guilavogui.

Before the federal election, FC St. Pauli has to travel to Mainz. Before the Hamburg state election, the next home game against BVB is on March 1.3st.

      1. OK. It just seemed strange to me at first.
But well, then they should be aware of it and basically know that they can then show up at your place (at least if it wasn't their first time there).
Thanks for your answer, namesake. 🙂
