FC St. Pauli has arrived in the Bundesliga. With a solid defense, the brown and white team scored three goals from five shots on goal against harmless Unioners. The 3-0 victory is all the more pleasing because the expected goals only just jumped over one. It is also pleasing that the defense is again at zero. This means that FC St. Pauli is currently in first place in the second half of the season table. Now that is really nice.
In the first 25 minutes, it was practically only the Köpenickers who had the ball. Then St. Pauli got into the game better. Somewhat surprisingly, the brown and whites took the lead thanks to Guilavogui after a wonderful combination in midfield. After that, Berlin was out of sorts and St. Pauli combined like football gods. Only one more goal was not scored in the first half. Brown and white made up for it early at the start of the second half through Guilavogui.
After that, the game was over. Berlin wanted to, but couldn't - St. Pauli defended cleverly. And in injury time, Danel Sinani scored his first Bundesliga goal 66 seconds after being substituted. This time, Guilavogui provided the assist with a hook trick and was clearly the "Man of the Match".
This is the first time that FC St. Pauli has won against Union Berlin in the Bundesliga. OK, it was only the zweite Match in this league. Until now, this match has only taken place in the second league. All the better that there was a similar match in the second league last night. But probably nobody noticed. I only read it by chance – thanks to a wonderful formulation in Millernton to the Classico.
What else happened? FC St. Pauli commemorated the victims of Hanau and you could hear a pin drop in the stadium. Goosebumps moment.
What happens next? Next week is another home game. Then we'll be playing against our table neighbours from Augsburg. I'm looking forward to it. Especially now that FC St. Pauli has arrived in the Bundesliga.
