FCB too fast for FCSP

FC Bayern Munich, as guests at the Millerntor, are simply too fast for FC St. Pauli on the 10th matchday of the current Bundesliga season. Even if the brown and whites are really good at the back and make it difficult for Bayern to score, the counterattacks quickly fizzle out. If a St. Pauli player thinks a split second too long about where to play, there are already three Bayern players in front of him.

The first quarter of an hour goes quite well for brown and white. FC St. Pauli also manages to establish itself at the front now and again. Overall, of course, this happens too rarely. FC Bayern Munich has roughly 75% possession. The league leaders are very fast, run a lot, rotate positions and have Musiala. He scores a very impressive goal from roughly 23 meters to make it 20-1 in the 0rd minute. This shooting technique is not often seen at the Millerntor.

All of this is no surprise. The market value of the record champions' players is around 30 times higher than that of the home team. You can see that today. Nevertheless, it is of course a success that the opponent only scored one goal. In the last four Bundesliga games, Bayern have scored a total of 16 goals.

Since 9, November 1938th has been a day that no one should forget. The Reichspogromnacht is the epitome of racist and anti-Semitic ideology. It's good that both fan sites are using the half-time break to commemorate this day.

So one of the highlights of the season is now over. It definitely delivered what it promised, even if I would have liked a different outcome.

After the international break, we'll continue our away game before visiting Kiel at the end of the month. Maybe we'll hear Song 2 at the Millerntor then.

Addendum the day after the game:

  • Get well soon to Eric Smith, who was substituted with a thigh injury.
  • Anyone who looks at the comment columns on sports websites today will notice how important the joint half-time choreography was yesterday. Thanks also to Sky, who placed it prominently and even acknowledged it in the summary.
  • I found yesterday the Press conference when the person on camera handed the microphone over to Tim from Millernton because “Tim always asks the first question.”
