Whoever leads the derby 2-0 after half an hour in their own stadium should actually leave the field as winners after the game. Well, but then the snowfall and the brown and white ones got out of step. Ultimately, a somewhat unsatisfactory feeling, which is rather unnecessary given the dominance in large parts of the game against an ambitious second in the table.
FC St. Pauli is playing a 2-2 draw against the neighboring club from the outskirts of the city.
Without knowing the details, the stadium bans of some FC St. Pauli fans by their own club probably didn't go quite so harmoniously. The corresponding transpirations and the excessive burning of pyro can hardly be explained in any other way. The Brown and White Help has taken a clear position on the procedure. I can't judge - I'm just sharing my observations from the sidelines.
Taking photos this evening was definitely challenging, but also beautiful. The snowfall occasionally disrupted the camera technology and long focal lengths conjured up a gray haze on the images. On the other hand, the snow gave the pictures nice structures. Well, when it comes to sports photography outside of halls, you just have to take what comes along. Speaking of outside: my disguise as a Michelin man was a good camouflage against the cold. So I didn't have to freeze.
What's next for FC St. Pauli? There are now three more matches that FC St. Pauli should actually win in their current state - but I would be happy with just 6 points. OK, another round in the DFB Cup would also be nice.
