Quickly take a private look back at 2023, before 2024 is just around the corner.
Biggest loss
Antje! I still think of your wonderful personality at every home game. Thank you for letting me get to know you.
Most surprising moment
There's always a lot going on at the Millerntor Gallery, but I was very surprised when a former St. Pauli professional suddenly threw his arms around you. It was also Marcel Eger's idea to take a selfie. Luckily I had the 28mm screwed onto my Leica and knew that my arm length matched the close-up limit of the lens. A nice surprise. Thank you for that!

To be honest, it was a series of pictures and again the Millerntor Gallery: Octopizzo is unfortunately far too little known in Germany, but is an absolute superstar in East Africa. You can see that by his likes–almost 100000 on Instagram alone.
I had the pleasure of meeting Octopizzo during my mission for Viva con Agua in Uganda know.
Personal life
In my free time I rediscovered cycling. I'm happy that I can now exercise more regularly and switch off my head. By the way, this happened because I won the most expensive lottery. To be able to buy a Brompton T-Line, you have to put your email address into a lottery pot and if you're lucky, you can buy one. So it happened that I was able to receive one in the spring after only waiting about 3 months. When I picked up my copy at the (terrible) Hamburg Junction, a Hanover woman who had been waiting a year and a half was also there.
The Brompton is a premium city bike. Due to my newly discovered love of cycling, I also wanted to cycle through other areas using pedal power. And that's how my Orbea Terra came into play. Thanks again Suicycle, for the exquisite advice.
Travel
I didn't get to travel this year because my loved one had a great job. I was only able to experience a trip to Darmstadt with her. Rekindle an old school friendship and see FC St. Pauli win away. On this occasion I also showed my loved ones where I spent my youth. As a thank you, she inspired me to take this photo.
I'm very happy with her at my side - also because she motivates me to take such pictures.
On the return journey we treated ourselves to a private tour of the Leica factory. That was very interesting. And at the end we were able to take a selfie.
Conclusion
2023 was okay – a lot of work, little fun, but stayed healthy (knock on wood). And continue to have the most amazing wife by my side. What could possibly go wrong in 2024?
Thanks for following my blog here! I wish you all the best for 2024. Come across well.
Thanks for your insights.
I wish you a good start into the new year.
Kind regards, Jörg
