Goal difference messed up

Before the game, FC St. Pauli had a wonderful goal difference of 13:12. Of course you would like a draw until the end of the season, but not 1:1! What's even worse is that this draw was completely unnecessary.

Kicker counts 25:7 shots on goal and that's what the game looked like. The brown and white team tried to dismantle Sandhausen's very good defense in a controlled manner. It wasn't an easy undertaking, but it worked out well. If FC St. Pauli didn't always try to carry the equipment into the goal, but maybe just shoot at it, with a bit of luck they could have scored one more goal.

So SV Sandhausen had a reasonably good chance to equalize. Bad to see from a distance because it was a copy of Sandhausen's first attempt to put the ball in the goal - which was offside the first time. There were exactly two minutes between these two shots on goal. I'll never understand that. The Millernton doesn't do that either.

After that, FC St. Pauli lost a bit of order, but that was good. This created many more good chances, but nobody wanted to go in today.

Before the game, I thought it was a very nice gesture that the club was saying goodbye to a straightforward and not always easy fan. Voices like that of “Rolli Werner” are becoming fewer and fewer and that is a shame. Rock in heaven – or as I know it: Rock the heaven 🙂

It is difficult for any football team to score against a deep and well-organized defense. The many conclusions give hope for the next games. But there will no longer be such a good goal difference as before the game this season.

Next Saturday the most important game of the year will take place in the brown and white cosmos of football fans: FC St. Pauli has the chance German championship To defend. If you don't want to miss the opportunity, come to Roncalliplatz in Cologne at 16 p.m.
