The signs before this city derby in Hamburg were rarely so clear. The rivals from the outskirts, unbeaten for six games, met the brown and white boys, winless for seven games. League leaders against current relegation candidates - everything is pretty clear. But as Timo Schultz said so beautifully before the game: "You can forget everything today, today is the city derby."

After a dogfight that didn't look bad from the outside shortly before the end of the game, he had to struggle with significant problems on the field. To me it honestly didn't look like he should continue playing. But athletes know their bodies very differently than ordinary mortals.
