New jersey, new cabin

Even if there is hardly anything new in terms of official announcements since the introduction of international sales channels, the first impression is always something special. There is simply no such thing as a haptic experience on the internet. The buttons always feel the same. The screens are far too small. Even better, however, is the announcement of the approaching end of the summer break through the official presentation of the complete jersey sets. Under Armor is now drawing in the fourth year responsible for the new jerseys and also renovated the players' cabin.

Yes, it's actually about FC St. Pauli and its start to the new 2019/20 season. The summer break in the second Bundesliga was worryingly uneventful for the third-placed team in the all-time second division table. (The necessary 61 points to displace the current runner-up in the table sounds like a good goal for the season.) So it's nice if I can report on a successful event to present all the new jerseys. Especially since I had the great pleasure of being able to photograph three great people in the new cabin in advance.

In my completely irrelevant opinion, the jerseys are unobtrusively beautiful - I like that. Even if it's completely contrary to mine Favorite jersey designs from Jason Lee stands. But these were also goalkeeper jerseys, they have to stand out.

The event surrounding the new jersey

Back to the essentials: the press, fans, club and reach people were invited for a first look. Karen Patterson, who was responsible for design at UA, briefly highlighted the special features of each jersey. The newly designed cabin was then opened to the sweating audience. Interestingly, there doesn't seem to be any air conditioning or anything like that in the players' locker room. Even with eleven people in this small space, the air will quickly become stuffy. Yesterday several dozen were present and the sweat flowed freely. Before those present could expand and customize the new sticker skull, Ewald Lienen came out of the trainer's cabin next door and gave a speech.

I chose a few pictures of all of this...

On Sunday the players' locker room will be opened to the public at the season opening. Further customizations can then be made. I'm back again and would like to take a picture of you in front of the skull...

Then league football can really start again soon!
