Happy dunk!

No, there is no typo in the title. It's just the very obvious reference to the sport of today's images. For the second time, a basketball game for a good cause took place in the Wilhelmsburger Inselhalle. The Viva con Agua Allstars tried their luck against the Hamburg Towers & Friends. So that the duel didn't become too unequal, both teams had people who knew something about the game of basketball. For example, the former German national team captain Ademola Okulaja strengthened the VcA team.

Although the proceeds went equally to Viva con Agua and the Hamburg Towers' charitable project "Sport without Borders", the Towers almost stopped playing in the last quarter so that Viva con Agua could claim a win. A big dunk for that!

Before that there was good sport in places and musical acts to be seen and heard during the breaks. The highlight was actually that the last basket of the game was a three-pointer from the youngest crew member of the Viva con Agua Allstars. Then the joy was particularly great.

gegenüber the last event This was much more professionally organized and much better attended. I have no idea whether the audience got their money's worth because I was busy taking photos. However, I hope so, because there is no better way to raise money for good causes than with an entertaining basketball game. Ultimately, VcA won with 80:71 points in four 10-minute games. In general, there were only women winners this afternoon. And if you want to be one of the winners, you can Donate here for VcA's next well projects. I know how important this is and how well the money is invested in a report on the experiences of the project trip to Ethiopia Described at the beginning of the year.

Next year everything will be repeated. That would be nice. Maybe you'll find time to stop by.

Oh yes: all pictures were taken with it Leica SL2 in combination with the Summicron-SL 35mm. The camera passed the first acid test. Because I had real concerns about indoor sports. But as long as the autofocus is on team sports, that works too. I don't think you can necessarily see ISO 1600 to 3200 in the pictures. Below is a very heavily cropped image at ISO2200. The blur in the basketball is also nice with an exposure time of 1/750s.
