In the first quarter of an hour it felt like every shot was a hit. As strong as Kiel performed in the first half, I was worried about whether the match day would continue at the Millerntor.
Everything had started so well. Great choreo on the south and the first chance right there - Richard Neudecker used the rebound from the post to make it 1-0. However, 6 minutes later it was 1:2 and I had bad thoughts. The experts in the press center spoke about the class difference at halftime.
Until Jan-Marc Schneider was substituted at FC St. Pauli in the middle of the second half, the Kiel team still had several top-class chances to increase the score in their favor.
Fortunately, the brown-whites remembered that playing better has never been important at Millerntor: fighting and winning is the watchword. FC St. Pauli finally accepted this fight and turned the game around shortly before the end. After a standard, header monster Avevor scores a remarkable 3-2 success. Neudecker was clearly man of the game: scored two goals, prepared one – great.
A high-security game whose atmosphere was more suited to the temperatures around the stadium. But it was probably enough to intimidate the Kiel annex. For a northern derby, surprisingly little came out of the corner. I don't care, as long as I win.
A dirty home win and St. Pauli is only three points away from the relegation place. Sounds good, but the season is still long and the league is very tight. Let's see what the table looks like after the next matchday.

Richie was incredible, Schneider would have liked to have come earlier and finally (!) Ziereis was back on the pitch. It doesn't matter whether the game was nice or not. Won!! ♥️
