Last night my friend Stefan gave birth to a new music baby and organized a great event at the Bernsteinbar. In addition to fine house music from DJ Habitat, there was the world premiere of the appropriate music video and delicious whiskey cocktails. Reason enough for me to stop by with my camera and take a few snaps.
The all-rounder Stefan aka Crumblegg has released an EP together with DJ Habitat and Bastelkopp: Purchase and download option included.
The Bernsteinbar was the perfect location for this event and the many good-humoured guests created the right atmosphere.
But it wasn't just the eyes and ears that got their money's worth, the palate was also catered for. With his own cocktail creations using ingredients from Whiskey Union, Philipp ensured that the enjoyable alcohol recipients had a lot of fun.
Below are a few impressions of the evening, which kept me there much longer than I had originally planned.
It was clear to me beforehand that I wouldn't be able to conjure up high-class images in dim light. That's why I screwed on the ancient 35 Lux. This version has not been built for almost three decades and is not at all aspherized to digital beam paths. Any weakness in the lens is visible, especially with light sources. Zero point zero is annoying on film, but yesterday's location forced me to use ISO8000 at 1/60 second for the most part - mind you, with the aperture wide open, i.e. f/1.4. The number of films that allows these possibilities to take pictures is zero. Nevertheless, I wanted the photos to look appropriate because I found them appropriate to the event.
Of course, I completely underestimated the fact that I also have to focus manually with the appropriate optics. Not an easy undertaking given the lighting conditions and some moving people. I'm pleased that it worked out quite well. I'm slowly getting used to the Leica...
Fantastic shots that capture the casual and horny atmosphere of the evening very well. Thank you very much!
