International roller derby bouts with the Harbor Girls

Last Saturday there was the next highlight at the roller derby in Hamburg. Although last time the German national team was at the start, there were international encounters for the first time. In the first bout, the B team of the Harbor Girls played against the Dutch team from Arnhem and in the second bout the A team played against the French team "La Boucherie de Paris".

As befits good hosts, winning the first bout was followed by defeat in the second. The Arnhem Fallen Angels were initially defeated 191:138. The second bout was significantly more intense, faster and more exciting. Ultimately, the Butchers from Paris had the lead with 202 to 149. But that only became clear at the end. The Harbor Girls were within striking distance for a long time.

Of course I also brought pictures (to enlarge) from the wonderful afternoon.

It's a shame that the Harbor Girls couldn't win the WFTDA (Women's Flat Track Derby Association) match against La Boucherie de Paris. The latter really have a fitting name and great logos on their shirts. Unfortunately they didn't have any merchandise with them, but at least I have a reason to visit Paris again.

But the afternoon in the Christianeum was very entertaining and I can only highly recommend a visit to the Bouts. The next Bundesliga home game day is June 10.6.2017, XNUMX. Maybe mark it on your calendar...
