When you see a team you just beat 1-0 win 6-1 on their own, that speaks for how tight the league is. That makes the 2nd league so much more interesting and exciting than the Bundesliga. However, this also means that a team on a good day can surprisingly defeat a team on a bad day. Seen like this at the Millerntor, when Ingolstadt won 4-0 against St. Pauli. QED, as the mathematician says. Wipe your mouth and move on, says the athlete...
What else was there? Loudspeakers on the south in test operation. I personally only noticed it after the game was over - and I was sitting right in front of it for half of it. It wasn't until the rest of the stadium was empty that I could hear the announcements.
Before the game, I also noticed two people who were so concerned about seeing the teams coming in that they didn't want to take down the banner. Individualists. Terrible. At halftime, even more people were noticed who had obviously lost their way in the stadium and thought that their entrance fee would justify booing the home team. But it doesn't. Fortunately, the response from the stands was prompt and the whistles were drowned out by encouraging chants of "St. Pauli, St. Pauli". One positive thing I noticed was the continuous chants of support from the south. It was really nice and probably too loud to hear the same from the opposite stand from where I was.
Oh yes, and then there was a banner and a double holder, for which I am very grateful. It doesn't happen very often that your birthday is on a match day. And even though dates like that aren't that important to me, I was of course very happy about it. Thanks to "Roter Stern" - probably the first fan club to print one of my pictures on their fan club shirt (which is still looking neat in my closet, although it is often worn) and especially to my fan club "Panik Salut", which is an anagram of St. Pauli. I was also of course delighted with the card from the honorary council of FC St. Pauli, which addressed the address with the salutation "Vereinskamera(d)". Someone put some good thought into it.
The picture of Skyman sums it up well. 😉
Dohoch – I wanted to see. “You'll never walk alone!”
In fact, these are the first pictures of you in a long time that I don't look at straight away. Maybe tomorrow.
Nevertheless, thank you for the pictures, you would probably have preferred to do something more pleasant than develop these pictures.
The back straight was also loud – at least near the south. And the Nord said they hadn't heard anything from the guests.
You'll never lose alone...
All the best, you old paparazzo…<3 :*
Oops….seen that too
