Sunday morning I wake up to the rain trickling gently against the bedroom window. A sleepy look at the rain radar sweetens the morning. It will be dry soon. There aren't many people I can send a text message to early on a Sunday with a request for a photo walk. Fortunately, these are the same people who respond within fifteen minutes, even at such a time. So the photo tour together was quickly planned.
And it was yes not the first timethat I have found a wonderful and entertaining company in Stefan and Björn. It's quite pleasant when you can rely on no one running around in the picture. It is very pleasant when everyone can implement their own picture idea. It's absolutely pleasant when you can have interesting conversations every now and then. The pictures of Stefan and Bjørn are of course worth a look. It's also interesting to see what Bjørn and Stefan otherwise do like this...
While the two of them were on the go digitally, I took advantage of the need to finally fill up the half-full T-Max 100 with exposures. And so that the development tank could be properly filled, I shot a second film straight after. A 28mm was screwed onto my Leica MP and these are the results of the photo walk. (Please click to enlarge.)
Finally used my day off sensibly and saw things that I wouldn't otherwise get to see. Of course, a photo walk like this involves an incredible amount of waste. Sometimes the idea doesn't work, sometimes I'm too late or too slow to get a good picture - but sometimes I'm just incredibly lucky. In any case, it worked out for me not to take digital photos. It's easy for me to get lost in the hustle and bustle of people and I don't take photos carefully enough. The committee then quickly becomes much larger. Instead of waiting in one place for the right moment, the shutter is pressed far too often. Maybe I'll take a color film with me on my next tour of the neighborhood. If only I knew which...
great vivid images
We were already on the road yesterday before the rain. It was nice weather. 😉 https://t.co/hpFaBEiey9
Thank you very much Stefan. It's always a pleasure to be able to travel with you.
The pleasure was entirely mine 🙂
the view! great.
very cool haul!
Some very cool pictures there! And a comment that I like because it fits well with my own experiences of digital photography: “I quickly get lost in the hustle and bustle of people and don't take photos with enough focus. Instead of waiting in one place for the right moment, the shutter is pulled far too often.”
Thanks! And have fun with your photography…
