FC St. Pauli 4 against HFC Falke

A prestigious game in the Hamburg District League 2 took place on Sunday in the Feldarena between FC St. Pauli 4. Herren against league leaders HFC Falke. The latter emerged from the HSV because they did not want to participate in the founding of the AG. This quickly explains the atmosphere around the game. There were entrance tickets, half of which were distributed to both sides. A record crowd for a game in this league should provide a worthy setting. The anticipation on the part of the brown and white men could be felt days ago.

However, this time the third half turned into a prelude. A brawl broke out between rival groups on both sides at the cathedral. I don't know which groups had agreed on what on the Internet, but I think it's unnecessary and wrong to have this dispute take place in the context of a district league 2 game. The police then quickly arrived. From some sources I heard about iron bars and baseball bats. I only saw flagpoles from HFC supporters and a few crutches held upside down. Fortunately, the game itself remained calm.

FC St. Pauli 4. Men got into the game well against the clearly favored HFC Falke. One of the first good actions led to the score being 1-0. The next three standard situations led to 1:3 - Falke lived up to his role as favorite, played powerfully and confidently in combinations. Nevertheless, it had to be three standard situations that led to the goals. FC St. Pauli 4 didn't give up and tried to score more goals. HFC Falke was now more secure in defense and too often free at the front. Therefore, the Rothosen were able to add to the game. The final result of 1:5 was certainly too high, but deserved.

After my first appearance in this league I can say: District league football definitely looks better than its reputation. You can watch it more often...

  1. Crazy spack hools on both sides. We stood in the alley with a small child and were almost run down. The little one experienced her first primate fight closer than necessary. They should meet on a meadow, but in a busy public place it's even stupider than it already is.

  2. “The police are talking about a targeted attack by the St. Paulians, who are armed with batons and fence slats.”

  3. Have an appointment?

The Falke fans (not category B or C fans, by the way) were attacked by a cowardly group of masked Spackos (including equipment), who were 2 to 3 times outnumbered.

Apart from the fact that I don't understand why people attack fans who have rejected the increasing commercialization of football, the action was simply unnecessary since there were no HSV hooligans or opponents on site.

Cowardly action and here's a desperately relativizing portrayal of what happened (even though you were close enough - see photos).

    Embarrassingly embarrassing St Pauli

    1. “arranged” because most of the Falke fans came to the sports field without any problems and the brown and white fans waited for this one group.
Otherwise, I have not relativized anything here, because I comment on the action with “unnecessary and inappropriate”.
