At an extremely unusual time, the Harbor Girls invited the Demolition Derby Dolls from Hanover to the roller derby in Hamburg. Shortly after breakfast on the 3rd of Advent, there was an entertaining shoving match in the hall of the business high school on Budapester Strasse. The FC St. Pauli Harbor Girls achieved a start-to-finish success that was never in jeopardy, even though it was exciting until the end in the second half of the bout thanks to the noticeable increase in performance of the Demolition Derby Dolls. In the end, the Harbor Girls celebrated their success with a score of 166 to 140. After the bout everyone celebrated together again. A beautiful peculiarity of the sport…
The Harbor Girls can only rarely play in the hall on the Budapester due to the limited hall times and the very low spectator capacity. Most of the time they are in Christianeum on the outskirts of Hamburg. With Tom, one of the others Photographers at the Oval, we regularly “argue” about which hall is the better light for photography. My favorite is always the Budapester and today I realized why again: the options in the sunlight are just great.
Everything was photographed with the Leica M10 and focal lengths 28, 50 and 90.
Great pictures! And again the first. 😉
Nerd 🙂
