For half an hour, the men in brown and white are surprised that they are playing against a team with an idea of the game. Jahn Regensburg is getting closer and closer to the ball at the Millerntor, putting the opponent under pressure, their own passes are getting through and before FC St. Pauli manages to shoot at the opponent's goal for the first time, the score is already 0:2 against the home team. "Wake up, wake up" chant the fans. Olaf Janssen makes two substitutions and the next two shots on goal are in. 2:2 at half-time, even if the equalizer is scored just before the break from a not even close offside position. Regardless, that gives hope for the second 45 minutes.
It then disappears shortly after the restart. This is how the game skirmishes back and forth. Both have a decision on their hands, but there isn't one. Once again a draw at Millerntor. Once again a goal conceded from a standard. The team seems to be treading water in terms of football. Well, half of the points necessary to avoid relegation are on the credit side. That's something too.
Funny game, nice pictures. Almost as always...
Thank you!
I'm also totally undecided what to think about it. Word should have gotten around by now that Nehrig and Jackson do not have their strengths in the build-up game. Weird season.
Great pictures! This shouldn't go unmentioned.
