Sunday afternoon was the women's first relegation game for promotion to the Regionalliga Nord. The champions from Hamburg FC St. Pauli dominated the representatives from Schleswig-Holstein TuRa Meldorf for long periods of the game. Despite the strong defense of the Meldorf team, only one goal was scored - Nina Philipp with a lob that was worth seeing. Unfortunately, Meldorf was also able to capitalize on the only mistake in the St. Pauli defense, which is why there was no winner in the game. Both teams split 1-1.
After the initial disappointment, the women from FC St. Pauli were able to end the afternoon successfully. The penalty shootout ended 5:4 in favor of St. Pauli. A little relegation rule: if Meldorf and St. Pauli end up with the same points and goals at the top of the table in the relegation round, the result of the penalty shootout would count and FC St. Pauli would be promoted.
What is important now is the next relegation game next Sunday with the representatives from Bremen TUS Schwachhausen. Unfortunately the name doesn't say it all. Schwachhausen rocked the Bremen league as confidently as FC St. Pauli rocked Hamburg. So it remains exciting about promotion to the regional league, but as a St. Pauli supporter you are excited used.

I think I ran past you - but you were concentrating at work, so I didn't dare disturb you 😉
