Miss Zoffi on film

You remember my weekend offwhen I had several people with me my analog Leicas captured on film? Well, I don't remember a free weekend either, but I do remember this series of pictures, which I really like and therefore don't want to withhold from you.

Luckily, Miss Zoffi, who is called Sophie in real life, also responded to my call on Facebook at the time. The artist name comes from Roller derby, they all have crazy names. So I've actually had Miss Zoffi in front of my lens and one of mine quite often Photos taken during roller derby She is also one of my most printed pictures. But spending such exclusive time with one of the top players in German roller derby is something completely different.

Miss Zoffi aka Miss Sophie danced ballet in her previous life and sometimes performs it catwalk. If after looking at my picture you want to see her elegant movements in real life, you now have a great chance on Saturday: the last Bundesliga game of the roller derby season is coming up - in the Christianeum at Otto-Ernst-Strasse 34 It starts at 15 p.m., the bout with Sophie against Stuttgart starts at 18 p.m. It's about the runner-up...

What I like about the series is that it constantly jumps back and forth between reportage and posed portrait, but the change is hardly noticeable. You can see that I was able to work with a professional. It was also exciting to go through the streets of the ski jump with a scooter girl. Of course, as befits our status, we met beforehand mamalicious fortified with cheesecake. Not only is the shop firmly in the hands of people with roots in roller derby, but there is also no better cheesecake anywhere in Hamburg.

During the shoot I also had the feeling that I was getting to grips with the old 35 Summilux for the first time. When the aperture is wide open the lens is a little tricky, but everything worked quite well here. The wide-angle portrait of Miss Zoffi in the entrance to the shop next to the scale building is my favorite of this series.

  1. Great, Stefan, really, really great! I particularly like the first portrait. Oh, I'm completely blown away. You can move with confidence in your hands and eyes and that's exactly why you are the photographer of my choice if I want to have some portraits of myself soon. I'm just waiting for the right time :-). Women…. Hair and stuff 😉

    1. It's nice that my series once again moved you to write a great comment and strengthened your trust in me. I am very pleased.
