Guerrilla Fighters of Kurdistan

It's Sunday and you should make time for it this approximately half-hour video to take.

Joey L. is an excellent portrait photographer who has brought with him many wonderful pictures and stories of interesting people in his young years. This time he penetrates the IS war zone and spends days with Kurdish fighters. He also comes directly to the edge of combat several times.

This video shows life there in a very direct way, without being brutal. In his blog post, which is worth reading He elaborates on what is shown in the video, for example the situation during departure in New York when Homeland Security suddenly appears in front of him and interviews him for half an hour about the purpose of his trip.

For me, this work by Joey L. is so worth mentioning because it encompasses everything photography should be. At a very high level.

And he makes it clear what our real wealth is: not money, but peace.
