Fan club tournament 2015

Yesterday was fortunately the fan club tournament of the FC St. Pauli fan clubs. I write “fortunately” because the tournament with 60 teams took place on the Millerntor pitch. This should not have happened if the professionals had to play there on Tuesday evening. Fortunately, it did not happen. Speaking of which: the club has my pictures from Darmstadt liked it so much that it is now on the official page a picture gallery with my photos there 🙂

In typical Hamburg April weather, I only had two hours to enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. Afterwards I went to roller derby – pictures to follow.

The attraction was the game during the lunch break: the traditional team from FC St. Pauli played against volunteers from the fan clubs. At times I felt sorry for the volunteers, because the passing accuracy and dribbling skills of the ex-professionals were sometimes putting knots in the legs of ordinary mortals. Of course it was still great fun. If I counted correctly, the game ended 6:2. Thanks especially to the wonderful Winni von Rutkowski, who once again had a hand in making the game happen. There are so many lovely people in this club who put their free time and their heart and soul into working together - and like to stay in the background.

The group picture was a nice challenge because at first everyone was looking in the wrong direction. There was a lot of laughter when I asked individual groups about it. Thanks to the support of the fan club spokesperson council over the loudspeaker system, the picture went off quite quickly. However, I leave the sending of the picture in which everyone present can be clearly recognized to the mail server of the fan club spokesperson council 🙂

It's nice that such an event exists. If you don't feel it, you can't understand it...
