I'm slowly getting around to looking at and editing my pictures from my vacation in the Egyptian tourist district of Hurghada. Here is a very short picture story of a hairdresser's shop in a side street that is probably rarely found.
Originally I was just fascinated by the clothes horse in the middle of the street. However, I was immediately noticed from inside the barbershop and charmingly waved over. A short and friendly exchange developed with hands and English. It was no problem at all to photograph the hairdresser at work.
I could have had my hair cut, but unfortunately I didn't have any money in it.

Photography is fun in everyday life and brings people into contact. In keeping with your wonderful lines under the article. It's a shame that things are so different here.
I like the pictures & the story behind them. Conny is basically right that things are a little different in Schland - but it is also possible to use the camera as a key, as you so beautifully describe it. [forbid me to link to a specific blog post now ;-)]
