Thanks to mine Deployment at the impressive Startups@Reeperbahn event, where 5 hopeful new ideas pitched to Spiegel Online on Thursday for a budget of €100000, this year I have the chance to listen to some of the diverse music on offer at the Reeperbahn Festival.
Thanks to the increasing eventization of our district, the residents of St. Pauli are increasingly plagued by noise and drunk people. On my first visit to the Reeperbahn Festival, I had the feeling that this was a laudable exception and a very warm event. This is certainly also due to the international audience. An absolutely positive side effect: the streets and clubs are spared from stag parties due to overcrowding.
Thanks to a tip from my personal Hip-hop expert Shawty, I attended the concert at Moondoo by the English artist Little Simz. Here you can current album Listen and buy the 20-year-old Londoner. (Listening tip: Stay)
Certainly not my main music listening habit, but the performance was moving. By the time the microphones failed and Little Simz rocked the club acappella, I was captivated too. Big respect!

And then a word about my Leica, which I've been able to hold in my hands again since the middle of the week. The rangefinder had to be able to handle the fine focus range of the Noctilux be reconciled. The Reeperbahn Festival is of course the ideal testing ground. After Little Simz's concert, I was not only impressed by the calibrated Nocti, but also - once again - thrilled by the performance of the M 240. Take a look at the image at ISO5000 and automatic white balance. Even the files on my D4 would have fallen apart long ago. (click makes big)

With such color reproduction, a smile spontaneously flashes across my face when I look at the camera display. I'm sorry - I plead guilty: I'm a Leica addict.
