Sports photographers certainly recognize that in exciting games, most camera releases are necessary in the last 5 minutes. According to this rule, the game on Friday evening between FC St. Pauli and 1.FC Kaiserslautern was a very exciting game. For me it was around 1/5 of the triggering of the evening between the 89th minute and the final whistle. Even if it was a little over 5 minutes, that's a pretty good value...
There was a lot on offer in this short time: Kringe headed the surprising equalizer to make it 2-2, the team tried to achieve the important three points against 10 Lauterer, Schachten had the chance, Himmelmann thwarted the best of the guests with one of the quick ones Counterattack and in the end there was a well-deserved 3-2 for Kaiserslautern in the 97th minute, even though the assistant referee had already pointed out to the weak referee several times that stoppage time was at the end. Tried everything and lost. Happened. This is football. The bottom line is that Kaiserslautern was the more mature, calmer team.
I was a bit annoyed at the subsequent press conference when coach Roland Vrabec blamed the referee for the defeat. OK, he was really one of the weaker ones with a lot of questionable decisions.
