Football god

Last week I received a nice email from worldfamos Paul Ripke, with an invitation to the “football match on Tuesday”. I had to ask who was playing? Aha, national team – I’m not that interested, but if Paul invites, it can't be a bad thing to accept this invitation. I was also able to watch many of my fellow sports photographers at work from a box. And I can't remember the last time I watched a football game as a spectator.

I laughed for the first time yesterday evening when I arrived by S-Bahn when the stop announcement “Arenen” came. A person in a German jersey and with a Bavarian accent asked in a low voice: “Has the stadium name now also been neutralised by the DFB?” This absolute PR disaster, half-hanging out the wonderful and apt saying “No football for fascists” during the alternative training at Millerntor and leaving “No football” standing, was a topic in many conversations last night. A slap in the face for all people who are committed to tolerant stands. My question from Monday evening on the DFB Facebook wall hasn't been answered yet either.

And why had I been invited to the box by Paul? I don't know, but suddenly I was standing with the boys Fettes Brot drinking beer in the stadium. 😀 Not the worst way to spend an evening…

Everyone was glued to the stadium monitors an hour before the game started. The latest video by Fettes Brot, “Fussballgott,” was playing on the screen. A world premiere, so to speak.

It's the same thing with football anthems. Especially at the World Cup. But I like the bread thing. Nice groove, not so serious, not that kind of beat where you know after 5 bars how the song is going to end. And the video is great anyway. Above all, the cool new perspectives that come thanks to Jonas Ginter from Bremen moving spherical panorama work. Take a look at the “football god” yourself and form your own opinion.

The exciting thing about this “football god” is that Fettes Brot would like to edit “fan specials” with their song. Here they explain everything you need to know.

This brings me to my personal highlight of the evening. “No football for fascists” was not only displayed in all its glory at the Millerntor yesterday, but also in the other Hamburg stadium. 🙂

Björn from Fettes Brot quickly painted himself a T-shirt and ran with it in front of some DFB gentlemen. That's what I like...

Update on 15.5/XNUMX: Meanwhile, the DFB has asked the club to get rid of “the fascists” officially apologized.
