Farewell 2013

First of all, I would like to thank all the blog readers very much - on the one hand for stopping by, and on the other hand for the extremely nice contact and exchange with everyone. Luckily, I never have to deal with internet trolls here and that makes me very happy! One of my better ones Friends always claims my blog is too small to attract trolls. That's fine with me too 🙂

I'm always pretty late with annual reviews. I used to often photograph sports on December 31st. Today I think that interesting things can still happen on the last day of the year. Well, it didn't really happen this year from a photography perspective, but I didn't know that beforehand.

2013 was a very successful year financially and I'm not even trying to top that in 2014. This is a conscious decision: I would like to work freely again in 2014 and further train my eyes. This is rarely possible with paid orders, because the client rightly expects a certain service. The fact that in 2013 I almost only picked up my Nikons when I was paid for it is a luxury problem - and a big one at that. I'm always overwhelmed by the jobs I get offered. However, it rarely makes sense to show these special commissioned works here in the blog. That's why I'm working on mine Portfolio resumed.

The most visited article on the blog was my description of the Working with a speedlight. What else did I experience in 2013?

Im January I was on one Workshop on video creation with DSLRs and learned an incredible amount. In the February have for the wonderful Café in the Plön gatehouse worked. In the Mar. I went among the authors and have about the work of a sports photographer written - and only evil tongues would claim that the (actually beautiful and worth reading) magazine was therefore discontinued afterwards. In the April I captured a moment for eternity with my back goal camera: that Goalkeeper Philipp Tschauner is on the top scorer list a. The Fan shop said goodbye to old stomping ground and I was invited to May to photograph the farewell pictures. For me, it’s an honor and a special sign of trust. I met with other photographers to try out each other's equipment and exchange experiences im June. The new football season started in advance July With a fantastic action by fans painting the back straight. I treated myself to a week's vacation August and of course had one Camera on the beach. The workshop visit was educational and very inspiring September in the sizes McNally, Hobby, Arias and Heisler. Totally impressed with the performance Players in blind football I was in October. In November I had it in a freelance job the wonderful Alex in front of the camera. I finished it with lots of impressions and food for thought December the 30th Congress of the Chaos Computer Club.

And now I'm looking forward to 2014...

  1. Then I wish you from the bottom of my heart that 2014 offers you much success, but also the freedom you desire. And thank you at this point for your openness with amateur questions 😉

    Greetings Peter
