A nice evening

There hasn't been a cup game at Millerntor for a long time. And then came a team that is currently rocking the Champions League. No chance? Completely irrelevant. It was just a beautiful evening. Thanks to everyone who made this possible after weeks of work...

An hour before kick-off there were nice loud alternating chants between the back straight and the south. Well after the final whistle, the alternating chants took place between the northerners, who were loudly celebrating farewell, and some of the last visitors on the back straight. In between, elaborate choreos and XXL sparklers provided an extremely worthy setting for a football evening that we had all been waiting for for a long time.

As expected, the FC St. Pauli team had no chance against BVB Dortmund, but at least in the second half there was an honorable farewell to the competition in which we are usually eliminated in the first round.

It was nice for me to see and feel that the St. Paulian natives in particular were putting in so much effort. Something will still grow, it just takes time.

See you soon in everyday league life...

Excellent pictures! #4 (from the North/HT corner towards GG/South) is my new desktop and mobile wallpaper.

  1. Tell me, the fourth(?) picture with the corner flag and the South and GG in the background - did you just darken the "old" floodlight mast, or was it really only shining so dimly at the time, so it will obviously no longer be needed in the stadium when it is finished at some point? The roof spotlights look so much brighter in comparison.
