He replied to my “Thank you, very kind” in a bright, pleasant voice. His gaze became warm and heartfelt: “Gracias, gracias.” An English-Spanish thank you for taking time for each other. He is for me. I care for him. Beforehand, I was able to get him to take the quick picture, the nice and likeable Santa Claus.
I wish you too many such small and large encounters with only nice people in the new year. Thank you for stopping by so often in 2014.
