Who cares about the result?

It is certainly not a new realization that at FC St. Pauli football is just a bracket. In the brown and white experience, the game is a reason to meet, but many other factors play a crucial role in the overall concept. Therefore, it doesn't surprise me that I wasn't in a bad mood for a few seconds after Friday's top game between FC St. Pauli and 1.FC Köln, despite a deserved and hearty defeat. Apart from that, as a fan, I can happily admit that the opposing team was simply stronger that evening - and sometimes happier.

I experienced a wonderful evening with humor on the Süd even before the game, a fan choreo that probably only works at the Millerntor in black and white, a correct classification of the Incidents from the last game in the stands, big and small farewells to loved ones and large and small celebrations of anniversaries - with the big celebration being for the smaller year. Overall, I spent a very nice evening with many very nice people. Thanks for that.

In any case, there was so much going on in the stadium this Friday evening that this time I'm showing a few more pictures than usual here. Enjoy yourself!

Not in the picture: I am now one of the first to have a special scarf that I can no longer wear the wrong way round – the writing always shows “brown and white St. Pauli”, a so-called ambigram. The source is DJ DSL, not just one of mine Favorite DJs, but also a “tinkerer” who Logo and is responsible for the associated lettering!

Oh well: if you want to know more about the little big anniversary, I recommend it Page from afroh – St. Pauli impressions for 10 years now. She taught me to see brown and white 🙂

  1. Picture 14 with the focus on the small print at the end of the back is amazing! Once again demonstrated a good eye for details...
