Of course I'm a sports photographer, but I'm also a fan of FC St. Pauli. That's why such highly emotional games like am Sunday against Braunschweig with the subsequent farewell to the deserving and long-standing players like Marius Ebbers and Florian Bruns was really a problem for me. During the game I'm concentrated, looking through my viewfinder like a telescope and trying to focus on what's important. I can often only really process what I see afterwards.
I admit that this time after the end of the game, a few tears rolled down my cheeks due to the incredibly great atmosphere at the Millerntor and the scenes surrounding Ebbers and Bruns' last steps on their home turf. It's good that the Nikon D4 has such a large body and has hidden it from colleagues.
All of this may explain why my pictures of the farewell are only now available. I needed my time to find the appropriate sad and beautiful farewell photos.
All the best, you two!
Thanks for the great pictures, and thank you Flo and Ebbe – I will miss you soooo ;-(
Thank you!
Great pictures in which you can fully see the emotionality that prevailed before, during and especially after the game. Must be due to the photographer's personal connection to the club. How beautiful 🙂
Delightful comment. Thanks!
