Photographing sleeping cats is cute. However, they tend to wake up after the first click of the mirror on a full-sized digital SLR camera. That's not sweet. If I were to photograph the sweet sleeping cat with a medium format camera, my cat would probably die of sudden cardiac death while waking up in shock.
I praise the Fuji X100s. Without a mirror there is no clicking. A real advantage of the X100s. And the electronic shutter sounds are not only terrible, but fortunately can also be deactivated. So the cat continues to sleep even after the photo has been taken. Is that cute…
