The old sports photographer adage also applies that most shots take place in the last 5 minutes of the game. I don't know the author, but it was true on Friday evening. Converted to releases per minute, there were 5 times more images in the last five minutes than before. That says a lot about the drama of the final scenes of the game.
However, I probably need to rethink my sitting position in the stadium. The celebrating players always seem to be walking away from me. That's why there is only one picture of the last goal celebration from the "wrong" side.
So, now take another look at the first picture in the gallery, because you won't be able to see the sea of flags there anymore. The self-sewn flags were forcibly stolen from the flag bearer on the way home after the game. Probably from people who don't like these colors anyway. The robbers probably wanted to have a befitting derby winner's celebration. But they could have asked nicely if they could borrow the flags…
