Millerntor, back straight

Last weekend, around two dozen FC St. Pauli fans turned the back straight at Millerntor into a special stand. Because now this impressive fan curve is no longer just covered in unimaginative concrete gray. Now the back straight shines in many places in the club's colors of brown and white - plus a little anti-fascist red and motifs that fit the club. In addition to the south stand, the back straight is now the second corner in the Millerntorstadion, which is designed by fans for fans. It's great that the club makes something like this possible and it's great that fans are taking advantage of this offer. I don't think there are that many stadiums in Germany where fans are allowed to pick up a brush as they wish...

I stopped by with my camera on Saturday and Sunday evenings, had nice conversations and took a few pictures. Since there is a lot to discover on the new back straight, you can see a somewhat more extensive gallery here.

In my opinion, the different symbols and styles also beautifully represent the diversity of the fan scene, which has more than just the bracket of the more or less successful football of its first team...

Thank you dear painters for your work and your passion for this total work of art!

And please: you are welcome to use all images for your own, non-commercial purposes. The club has it for his homepage and on Google+ already done. 🙂 To make it easier to use and share the images, I have set up a small page on which many other motifs to see .

  1. Gorgeous! We're looking forward to seeing the back straight again soon, even if only from the outside. Greetings from the North!
