It's starting for the third time today Millerntor Gallery: an art exhibition in a football stadium for a good cause. The project helps the wonderful organization “Viva con Agua” to finance new aid campaigns so that more and more people have access to clean water.
A short political interjection: since I have no desire for “Viva con Agua” to build wells for Europeans at some point, all attempts by companies and politicians privatize water, strictly rejected.
Viva con Agua was founded by former FC St. Pauli player Benjamin Adrion. He has now even been awarded the Federal Cross of Merit for his commitment. I like the idea, the style and the people behind Viva con Agua. I've been allowed to show them my pictures a few times empower. It's just a small part, but it was always fun.
In the Millerntor Gallery there are a total of 40 artists from all over the world their special art. There is a lot to discover. It's worth going to the Millerntor from May 23rd to 25th between 18 p.m. and midnight, even though there's no football to watch there. It only costs €24 for entry…
I took the opportunity at the pre-opening and finally sat down at Mr. Fischer’s table.”Mr. Fischer invites you to come to the table“ is a long-term project and only one photo is taken per person at the table. This is how lots of interesting portraits. I've been trying to become part of the project for a long time, and now it finally worked. Jo Fischer will be on site during the exhibition days and for a donation to Viva con Agua you can take a print out of your picture with you.
And right opposite you can see great photos from the friendly photographer Fischer about humorous Germany.
These are for fans of FC St. Pauli Highlights a faithful replica of the south stand, the wonderful pictures of the old Millerntor by Susanne Katzenberg and the flour pictures by the artist duo Strassenköter - you can see one of them as a teaser at the top of this blog post. And here you can see a little making-of of the pictures.
You see: there are a lot of fascinating things to see. And it's worth letting your eyes wander. Some things you only see at second glance. So the back straight now looks a little nicer...
BTW: all images in this blog post were taken with the Fuji X100s and are not edited.
Great tip. I'll be in the right part of town on Saturday evening anyway, so it's worth the detour. Thanks! 🙂
