Last minute Saint Pauli

It's always the last minutes that are crucial in FC St. Pauli games. Just the other day Header from goalkeeper Tschauner in the 90th minute. This time two individual errors that were punished mercilessly by a team that had just been promoted. Comment from two older men in the main stand about the game of the brown and white team: "They are only dangerous in front of their own goal."

But it would be unfair to blame everything on the last few minutes. Especially at the beginning of the game, Hertha made it pretty clear what was wrong with FC St. Pauli this season: there were too many play errors and everyone was too immobile and too slow in their heads. Football was last seen at Millentor during the promotion season. Since then, the strong players have been given away, and what remains are the fighters. That's why things worked better in the second half. It switched to a fight and the Herthaners were brought to the brink of defeat. But only to the edge. Now please switch to combat in Duisburg...

In this sunshine, I am glad that Nikon has built a technology called “Active D-Lighting” into their cameras. The incredibly strong contrast can be softened thanks to Active D-Lighting – if you shoot in RAW, you don’t need to know this, but my pictures have to be sent straight from the sidelines ready for printing. It is very useful to have technical aids built into the cameras. When taking portraits, you can reduce these hard contrasts flash away, but with sports pictures it could disrupt the course of the game if an assistant with a mobile flash device is constantly following the player with the ball.

What else was there? A nice thing is the joint action between the club and the fan shop that led to this video

Furthermore, the music in front of the AFM container was worthy of the great weather and would have deserved a fantastic threesome. DJ of the afternoon was the creator of my logo 🙂 The bar crew was provided by the fan club “LMSP” – this abbreviation stands for … oh, you can guess yourself…

  1. Hello, as a blue and white guest here I would just like to praise the beautiful photos! Great work, very atmospheric. 🙂

All I can say about the game is, of course, it's always somehow lucky when a team turns around a game that seemed already lost so close to the end. Nevertheless, this is also a quality and, in our opinion, the victory overall is not undeserved.

But what was definitely undeserved was the late defeat for St. Pauli. From your point of view you would have earned at least 1 point, no question! All the best for staying in the league and a better next season.

Here's to sometime back in the first league and Ha Ho He! 😉

    Greetings from Berlin,
    Treat
