Yes, I went among the authors. In the current issue 2/13 from March of the magazine Photo practice A text on sports photography has been published. On eight double pages I describe the most important information about sports photography and show some pictures.
Writing the text was unusual for me, as I don't read any photo magazines and therefore didn't know my recipients. I find it difficult to write a text if I don't know who I'm actually writing for.
What made matters worse was that the text was originally in the magazine in January PhotoPro was supposed to appear, but this magazine was discontinued in time before the second issue. The death of newspapers also affects lesser-known papers...
That's why you can only now read my opinion on sports photography in the magazine FotoPraxis from the same publishing house. What is pleasing is that my text is already being teased in the editorial and may therefore reach more readers. However, it is too much of an honor that I am there in the same breath as the sports photographer who has been outstanding for decades David Burnett be called.
Here are a few impressions of the look of the magazine.
I don't yet know whether I dreamed that my first long text would appear in a magazine with a cute dog on the front. I think it's a bit of a shame that the images weren't all optimally laid out and printed. I would have liked more care in the final inspection.
I'm curious to see if there is any response to the article. The print-web conversion rate isn’t supposed to be that great…

ha ok, then I'll probably have to buy one today...thanks for the tip :)
I'm looking forward to your feedback.
I can't get to the paper here *grumbling*
However, the cute poop on the title and then “career” are quite good. Didn’t we all start out with the rabbit breeders’ association of 1828?

The thing with the dog is of course less nice. Nevertheless, you can be proud that you got past all the gate keepers. I hope you were able to stay authentic and it wasn't censored too much - I mean, of course, optimized for the target group.
The article is about 90% my fault. 🙂
The paper could have been titled “Animals in front of and behind the camera”…
Haha 🙂
I'm very pleased. Otherwise you always read the same bloggers in such media ;-), so variety comes into play. Although photography practice is never on my shopping list. 😉
Since I don't read any photo newspapers at all, I don't notice this...
“Although photography practice is never on my shopping list.” “Since I don’t read any photography newspapers at all, I don’t notice it…”
FotoPraxis is not necessarily a premium magazine. But specifically - if the topics are of interest - then it's worth a copy! In terms of print/paper quality, in contrast to Clofoto, Fomag or the glossy advertising catalog “Photography” in the silly oversized format, it is a bit more homely, but likeable. And I would rather have an issue of “Foto-Praxis” than “Digital Photo” or the even more horrible “CanonFoto” from the north!
And with the photo practice for so little money, a few “original” Groenvelds 😉
Ralf
Then I'm looking forward to the printed one 🙂
Feel free to write me your opinion after reading it.
