Three Point Monday

All signs pointed to a terrible Monday evening: coaching changes here and there, against the bottom of the table, Monday evening, Cathedral, Olaf Scholz is still mayor of Hamburg...

It took until Schachten's heart-stopping shot into the net to make it 2-0 in the 70th minute for FC St. Pauli to finally put aside their uncertainty and play football. Before the game, new boss Roland Vrabec was also visibly nervous. But it would certainly have been anyone who was in this spotlight for the first time and had to look into all the photographers' cameras that found their way into the Millerntor.

The Cottbus fans once again attracted attention due to their bullying, and the North Curve supporters among the St. Pauli fans in particular suffered from it. At least this time there were no Nazi provocations through banners. The last visits to the Millerntor by the Lusatians were probably only remembered from the south. There is no other way for me to explain the many whistles and boos directed at their own fans on the main and back straight when the Süd loudly drew attention to the right-wing tendencies in the Cottbus fan scene. I'm very happy that large parts of FC St. Pauli's supporters keep pointing out right-wing structures in football contexts (and elsewhere). So the numerous whistles and boos really shocked me. If you're not really into the topic, you can still find out more - in my opinion, booing your own fans isn't an option!

Its a lot to do…

All in all, a pretty simple three points. And it's still Monday Fuck...
