The everyday life of a photographer does not only have to do with photography. This is well known. It's all the more gratifying for me that this time I'm as an author - in contrast to my last engagement as an author – was allowed to cover a non-photographer topic: data backup. What's particularly pleasing is that of all people c't came to me to ask about my backup workflow. I mean: c't – the only relevant computer magazine for me, which I read in print, although I also read it at least once a day News Ticker take a look. The request surprised me and also made me a little happy. On page 113 of the current issue 13/2013 there are my thoughts on data backup in a green box.
I also immediately noticed that the c't has a different relevance because several readers have asked me about my little article since Friday...
... aha. My data on the memory cards as a mass escape phenomenon in the electronic microcosm of the soul robbers... 😉

Not bad. I just read the post - I don't normally look at the author's name, but I probably would have noticed it anyway if it were posts from photographers. 😉 I tested Photo Mechanic last year, but it's somehow not for me (apart from the fact that I don't need it). In some places it was simply prone to errors at the time and perhaps also had a bad version. Support said this should be fixed in the next updates. Oh well. Seems to work for you. =)
Yes, I know, PhotoMechanic is a special program for special requirements - and not exactly cheap either. I found the support to be very good.
