There is one USP calendar from the not so small and certainly fine fanzine called Basch. Now I got around to buying the calendar myself and was really surprised when I saw the calendar page from February. The picture you see there was taken with an iPhone.
A iPhone picture is enough so no problem for an A4 print. This is all the more surprising because the picture was accidentally taken with the Camera Plus Pro app at a lower resolution. And the lighting conditions don't exactly suggest a good picture from a tiny sensor. It was taken at the 10 year USP celebration and the only light sources were the "1000 degree hot torches" commonly known as pyrotechnics (approximate quote from expert Beckmann). Of course, I didn't have a digital SLR camera with me at a party and had no choice but to pull out my iPhone. The picture was more of an accident because I actually wanted to make a video.
In any case, the iPhone picture is completely sufficient to convey the mood. And now also for a calendar page.
Very nice. We recently printed an iPhone photo on canvas for our home. It's "only" 60 x 60 centimeters, but the quality of the phone is impressive
60×60 is pretty decent 🙂
And yes, the quality is really decent. There have also been photojournalists who have reported from crisis areas using their iPhones.
