WOW – Part 31: David Ziser

A day late, I know, but maybe you can just imagine that today is Sunday 🙂

I'm a bit conflicted about my link recommendation today. Personally, I often find David Ziser's style of wedding photography a bit too kitschy, American, romantic - which doesn't mean that there aren't some really great shots by him. Unfortunately he doesn't seem to have enough time for it Portfolio because only a few and often older photographs can be seen there.

The reason I can still recommend David Ziser is his Blog: once again a very confusing site (which is due to Blogspot), but there are regularly really good tips for taking better portraits.

But what is really good is his book “Captured by the Light", at least if you are fluent in English and want to learn something about using flash in photography. It is a mystery to me why this book has not yet been translated into German. Probably because David Ziser does not use a Nikon or Canon flash, but a Quantum. This means that you always have to think a little bit about his book - but wedding photographers are used to that...
