Birds, feeding and wet pants

Zack! I'm just now enjoying the ultimate in relaxation, and now my vacation is over again.

Langeoog is so completely different from Hamburg and this year I have completely absorbed the absolute uselessness of my existence on this island. I feel super relaxed.

And I used my camera to once again hunt for subjects that I otherwise don't pay enough attention to. But seriously: if you want to be taken seriously as a people photographer, you simply don't photograph birds, for example. Me, yes. It's more difficult, more strenuous and more sweaty than photographing football, for example.

And I even show them on my blog. Why? Because I enjoy it – do you too?

  1. I have to admit, I just can't see tilt-shift and Hipstamatic photos anymore. In this respect, #1 and #2 leave me relatively shrugging my shoulders, sorry. On the other hand, I think #4 is really successful: the cheerful, colorful beach chairs, such artificial existences, and then, right above them, the bird. He looks like a bird of prey, ominous, threatening, ready to tear apart the artificial structures beneath him with his sharp beak - if he feels like it. (And yes, I have already seen crying children on the beach promenade in Westerland, whose ice cream cones were picked out of their hands... the creatures are really dangerous.)

  3. Wow! I was once on Langeoog. And I found it so tiring with the journey, the journey, the wind and the weather that I couldn't really get excited about the island. But I really like your photos!

I love picture number 2. This is such a beautiful snapshot. Dozing in the beach chair. Although it would certainly have been nice without tilt-shift. But the effect doesn't bother me yet.
And I would immediately hang picture number 4 on the wall in large and narrow form! This is really really nice!

  4. I think the wet pants were worth it! It wouldn't have been possible otherwise.

    Except maybe with waterproof pants.

    ;-))
