Today I'll show you romantic pictures of a wedding at Gut Basthorst. This old stately one good In the east of Hamburg, the unbeatable advantage for celebrating a wedding is that the hotel, event rooms and church can be reached in just a few steps.
And once again I was lucky this summer: while it rained constantly in northern Germany, this couple only got sunshine on their special day. It was one of the few weddings this year where I was happy to have a change of shirt in the car.
I met the bride and groom Petra and Dennis last year Wedding of Christina and Till met. And it was nice to meet these two – now with children – again.
It was also interesting for me to photograph fireworks for the first time in my life. The absolute highlight of the day was the groom's live performance late at night. Dennis plays drums and rocked the party with a guest on the keyboards.
Spending the day with Petra and Dennis was really wonderful, because they are both extremely nice people. And I'm glad that I was able to translate her desire for romance into the pictures. Because the light wasn't easy, the location wasn't ideal (cars parked everywhere) and time was short - but hey: photographers are problem solvers 🙂
As a reward, I was finally able to take one of those great veil pictures that I've seen so many times from American photographers. Petra's veil was extra large - I'm sure she made it that way just for me. Thank you for that...
Very nice photos in beautiful surroundings. But we Schleswig-Holsteiners attach importance to the fact that Basthorst, like the whole of Holstein, is east of Hamburg, but in the Herzogtum-Lauenburg district in SH.
... of course I chose the veil just for you 🙂 and in addition to the many other incredibly great pictures, we are especially grateful to you for the veil picture! It's definitely one of our favorite pictures!
Really great photos! You captured the wedding perfectly in pictures.
Great job 🙂
Really great shots! I remember the thing about the veil. 😉
Once again a very nice series Stefan, my FAV's are 12,13 & 15…. the 15 especially, of course! 😉
Greetings Frank
