Compared to Rome New York is an oasis. There are lots of very helpful tips – not just for visitors to the city. There is a large letter on the door of every restaurant indicating the tested cleanliness of the kitchen. Or at McDonalds the calorie information on the price list is the same size as the price. Or there are several apps that provide information about bed bugs in hotel rooms.
I – and my wife – really liked the Big Apple. We hope we come back – and not just for our silver wedding anniversary…
thanks for the summary. 🙂 Let’s see how things go for us in October.
Thank you very much for this travel report! Every day after work I was happy to be able to look at some new, really good pictures from New York. The Brenizer photos were of course a very special blast!
All the best to you and yours for the future together and a safe journey back,
Daniel
I was happy about your report and the beautiful photos every day 🙂
The description of the typical NY tourist is brilliant and hits the spot…
A great city, beautifully presented. I think my favorite is the symmetrical bridge, or is it Coney Island?
I guess I have to go back again. 🙂
Thank you for letting us follow you (or rather you, your wife is now part of it 😉) on your trip through, under and over New York, it was fun. 😀
Really great pictures (and I can share your observations on the behavior of tourists vs. residents)!
Could it be that I saw one or two photos on 500px?
