Championship celebration from HSV Handball

Martin Schwalb thanks the fans for their support

A balcony every year. This time at the town hall - but it was also the first German championship in many, many years. Felix Magath was last up there as a player.

And the HSV Handball team can really celebrate. According to some statements from those present in the town hall, the celebration continued internally until around 7 a.m. - and at 15 p.m. we went to the town hall balcony and then to the stage to continue the party. But you don't become German champion every year. I wish this team this success.

And after the performance of “The Bells of Rome” in front of around 10000 fans, it is clear that this team is not above anything. It is nice that something like this still exists in German professional sport.

    By Heike Schäfer?!

Wow… I would have loved to see that. Please send YouTube links to me 🙂

    1. I'm glad you like the sunglasses master shell mirror image - by the way, it was captured with a D7000.
The frying pan ballet has also been announced as the "most embarrassing number ever". And you have to perform it in front of 10000 people on the town hall square in the middle of Hamburg. I find it quite humorous.

  2. Great pictures! The Kraus sunglasses picture is awesome!

But what are these “Bells of Rome”??? They’re all still wearing their underwear! 😉

  3. […] A new beginning at HSV Handball. The HSV Hamburg handball players have begun their preseason preparations. It will be a special season for the Hanseatic League. For the first time, they enter a season as the hunted ones. As defending champions. After an outstanding season, Martin Schwalb's players secured the 2011 handball championship in the summer and celebrated lavishly at the Rathausmarkt square. […]
