That's probably how it is at the end of a season, when there's nothing really going on in terms of sport anymore. Cissé does something for his goalscoring account and HSV can't find a solution against SC Freiburg's good defense for 90 minutes.
I found the reaction of the spectators interesting. On the positive side, it was the first time I saw self-irony among the HSV supporters. To wave the Mexican flag through the stadium and sing "European Cup" when your own team is playing a terrible game is a different reaction to the usual "We want to see you fight". On the negative side, it was a mockery of the team. Honestly, I prefer this type of reaction to "If you get relegated, we'll beat you to death". At least one Cologne fan has a completely wrong assessment of the value of sport in the Bundesliga.
Back to HSV. What was also notable was my bag check at the entrance. I've never experienced it before. Not in any stadium. But of course it's completely fine. I asked the friendly steward what the control was all about. He told me that it is suspected that people with work cards smuggled the pyrotechnics into the stadium at the last game. I'll leave that without comment.
Here are finally the pictures from the game. I don't have to write anything about the catastrophic lighting conditions anymore, or ?

The light was really tricky for me as a sports beginner. When exposed in the shade, the background was completely ripped off thanks to the sun. The other way around wasn't any better.
I really like Trotsche's picture. Nicely dynamic (so it doesn't fit HSV's game at all) 😉
