I didn't have much time to look at the camera, but the shot at ISO800 looked pretty decent. And with the tiny 14mm lens (equivalent to 28mm converted to XNUMXmm format) it makes a very small and light impression. There will certainly be a lot more to read about this camera, as Panasonic has some photo bloggers at the end of the month (lens-flare, Kwerfeldein, jeriko, … – who else?) was invited to Mallorca to test out the camera.
The only thing I personally don't like is the electronic viewfinder. But in the camera class it's probably an added value to have something like that at all, because otherwise you only have the display and in certain lighting conditions you don't see much...
The other highlight of the evening was the app speed dating. This even attracted RTL Punkt 12 to Gadget Night.
All pictures of the event are available from the excellent organizer of the event Sven Wieser on Facebook.

...visualGedanken-Martin and Zoomyboy-Manfred are also there. Manfred in particular should be interesting in this context, as he also travels privately with his predecessor.
Ah, thanks for the information!
Hello Stefan Groenveld
Even if it was obviously just a quick touch of the new Panasonic GH3 on the occasion of the “Gadget Night with Panasonic and RTL”, what is the first impression in terms of focus accuracy and focusing speed?
The following can be read in the Panasonic press release for the GH3:
“The autofocus is extremely fast and very precise, and the signal-to-noise ratio of the newly developed 16-megapixel sensor has been visibly improved, which is particularly evident at high sensitivities, according to the Japanese company…”
I'm very interested in the subject of AF, noise and handling, because so-called forum "experts" repeat this nonsense - in my opinion - over and over again:
“Anyone who has ever had the GH 2 in their hand… it is clear that the end of mirror cameras is near. “
“Professionals will increasingly work with mirrorless to the extent that it is the better workhorse overall.”
These weirdos have probably never photographed sports indoors or on the field, otherwise they wouldn't be saying such nonsense. And act as if Canon and Nikon, as premium DSLR manufacturers, would sleep in the next few years.
This is not at all about badmouthing the “EVIL” or “MILC” camera class, as the mirrorless system cameras are also called. I use a Samsung NX100 myself, but I know its limitations!
So: Let's try how quickly a GH3 focuses?
Greetings from Bonn
Ralf Jannke
Sorry, but I didn't have the camera in my hand for too long :)
