ich habe meine Portfolio page newly designed. In addition to my blog, in which I report on my photographic work in a thematically related and current manner, I also think it is important that you can get a quick overview of my work. Hence the portfolio page where I show my personal highlights.
By the way, I use WordPress for my blog and portfolio because I think it is a stable and easy to manage content management system. When I was creating the site, I noticed that there are relatively few themes for photographers that also take portrait images into account. I chose the theme "Autofocus“ and adapted it to my picture size because it is clear and yet a little playful.
I chose the dark background because I wanted a clear demarcation from my blog and I think the colors of my pictures look best that way. The font color can be found in the faces of my pictures. I would like to thank him at this point stilpir.aten for his tips and finishing touches.
Since I know that some photographer colleagues are reading here, I would be happy if you would put a link to your portfolio page in the comments and also write a few lines about why you chose this format. There are certainly good suggestions there, which I can then prepare here as a pool of ideas.

Thought transference?
I have also just redesigned and set up Portfolio+Blog with WordPress and I also had the “Autofocus” theme in mind at first, but then decided on a different one (Viewport), which I then modified.
But as you said, it's important that visitors see what you've done straight away without clicking through countless articles.
@Daniel, Exciting, because I also looked at Viewport 😉
A few weeks ago I also changed my portfolio
http://www.omori.de
on WordPress and “married” it to my blog, which was previously accessible under a different URL.
A change that I only made relatively late (after using WordPress as a blog system for several years), but that I have not regretted so far.
Greetings Michael
