Can pictures be better than the game photographed?

Sometimes 0-0 games can be exciting. However, FC St. Pauli's 0-0 draw against FSV Frankfurt on matchday 22 of the current 2009/2010 second division season was totally boring. Especially from a photography perspective. A few duels and hardly any emotions. Sure, nobody gets more annoyed than Deniz Naki, but I wasn't able to get the real picture of anger until the 87th minute when Lehmann's free kick hit the crossbar. You can see once again that sports photography means staying focused on the matter throughout the entire game...
