Maximilian is one of the very successful bloggers. His works are not only published in his blog. His latest book is being published today: “I don't miss being by the sea: a beach youth". This title should then also be captured photographically. Maximilian therefore suggested a very urban area in Hamburg, far away from anything that looks like the sea.
And so we met in a very cold wind in a very cold environment - and if I hadn't taken the picture quickly, we would both have frozen to death in no time. Tweeted also Maximilian...
By the way, I was also happy about this picture Radio popper had there. The SU-800 failed to trigger the SB-900, which was only one and a half meters away. Under no circumstances. Quickly plugged in the radio popper and the triggering worked with ease.
Wonderful, that's exactly how I remember Travemünde: desolate, empty, cold, boring. 😉
Very nice comment! 🙂
...the SB900 was pretty much on the same line to your right?
This is the classic and one reason why I would get the SB 700, the head can be swiveled to the right and it hits the SB900... or you have radio poppers. 😉

Hey Frank, I'm well aware of the problem - and I had already aligned the "eye" of the SB-900 towards the camera and held the camera upright so that there was a line of sight between the SU-800 and SB-900. Ultimately, of course, I could have used my SB-800 as the master, but I didn't want to "lugging around" a second flash. The combination of SU-800 plus radio popper is simply smaller and more flexible...
@Stefan Groenveld,
Yep, you're right. 😀
Since you have the poppers anyway, it would be nonsense not to use them.
