FC St. Pauli wins friendly match against Schalke 04

This year the test match against Schalke 04 worked out, as the pitch heating was turned on in time this time. Of course I was happy to be part of the game, even if I don't really like test games. In terms of football, it rarely has any meaningful meaning and there is hardly anything sensible to capture photographically: emotions are missing because it's about nothing and duels are missing because it's a friendly game.

The external conditions were actually quite good because it wasn't as cold as feared. Only the side seats for the photographers were not really usable due to the snow being pushed aside. And the funny kids behind me who threw snowballs at me and then at my laptop were wearing HSV gloves. Clearly, an appeal to reason didn't really work.

Schalke probably only felt like playing football for the first half hour and FC St.Pauli played a brisk ball. Ultimately, the brown and white team deserved to win 2-0.

There are some impressions of the game in my gallery.

By the way, the complete game in the animated version is available in the NDR media library.
